  • On Friday, 7th November in the Carmelite Church, Moate, the Anointing of the Sick will be administered during the 10am & 7.15pm masses. Through the anointing, people in need can experience the gentle healing touch of the Lord. The sacrament is also a time to thank God for good health and to intercede for friends who are ill. Please invite and bring to our celebration those of our families and friends who are sick and in need.

  • This year the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity runs between Sunday 18th to Sunday 25th January. On Sunday 18th at 7pm, the Carmelite Church will host a Songs of Praise to mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. This event of prayer and praise will involve choirs and congregations from the Carmelite Church, St. Patrick’s and the Church of Ireland community.

  • On Sunday 8th February, The Carmelite Community in Moate, Co. Westmeath will mark World Day of the Sick by having the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick at all our masses i.e. 9am, 10.30am and 12 Noon. Through the Anointing of the Sick, people who are sick and in need can experience the healing presence of the Lord. We will have a relic of St. Bernadette of Lourdes present for veneration and blessing during the morning.
